What Does Stefon Diggs To Houston Mean?

The Houston Texans don’t seem to want to stop. After an impressive offseason where they addressed many needs, Nick Caserio strikes again bringing in 4x pro bowler Stefon Diggs. Diggs has been actively trying to get out of Buffalo for a while now; he’s been very vocal about it and now he has found a new home in Houston. He now joins the in-state rival of his younger brother (Trevon Diggs), who plays with the Dallas Cowboys. This deal seems like a low-risk, high-reward deal for the Texans, as they addressed their needs at wide receiver, and they don’t have to give up any draft capital for this season.
The concerns are that Stefon Diggs has been known to express his frustration when situations aren’t to his liking. With the culture that Demeco Ryan has brought to the Texans and a laser quarterback in CJ Stroud, hopefully, we won’t be hearing of any disgruntled activity from Diggs. Stefon Diggs is one of two players who put up 1000 yards in the past 6 years consistently and he’s looking to have a big bounce-back year slotting in as a new big face of the Texans offense. Now the question remains, who will be the WR1 in this new and improved Texans receiving core?
Now with Buffalo trading away Stefon Diggs, they free up more cap space but it leaves a major hole at wide receiver, with their now WR1 to be Curtis Samuel. The question to be asked is… is this the beginning of the end of the dominance of the bills? Although they have yet to make it past the AFC championship game while Diggs was on the roster, he was a key piece in getting them there. Now with Buffalo seemingly blowing it up this offseason losing many key players in the likes of Tredavious White, Jordan Poyer and more, we need to ask what’s going on in Buffalo. And what will they look to do at the draft to replace their lost stars?
